Christopher Joseph Atkins, 2 year old son of Matthew B. Atkins of Lind Ave.
Mattydale died Friday at home. In addition to his father he is survived by his
mother: April Atkins of Gastonia NC; a sister: Iris Wyatt of NC a brother: D.J.
Atkins of Mattydale; Paternal Grandparents, Mary And John Lazanis of
Mooresville, NC; his Great Grandfather, Charles Atkins of Mattydale; Several
Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Topher was predeceased by his Grandfather James
Atkins in 2011 and two uncles James A. Atkins II and Paul J. Atkins.
Friends may
call Tuesday from 6 -7 at Krueger Funeral Home Inc., 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale,
followed by a funeral service at 7pm at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the family in

Matt, My heart breaks for you and you have our deepest sympathies. I want you to know that we are extremely honored that you named Christopher Joseph after our Chris aka Nitemare. The pain will ease with time the grieving will never end until you one day get to see him again in heaven. Just know that I believe that our Chris was there to welcome him home with loving arms, as you know how much he loved kids. Take it one step at a time, and one day at a time and you will get through the tough times. Remember the joy and happiness that he brought you, the funny things he said and did.
