Siegfried "Ziggy" Inholz, 77, of North Syracuse, went to God Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital. Ziggy was born in Germany and came to the US when he was in his 20's. He was the son of the late Johan and Maria Inholz.
Ziggy retired in 2005 after a long career as a furniture refinisher for Fleischman's, Raymour & Flanigan's and Roberts Office Interiors. He studied his trade in Germany as a master furniture refinisher. He also owned and operated Siegfried's Upholstery for many years and was a communicant of St. Margaret's Church in Mattydale.
Ziggy was predeceased by a brother, Peter.
Siegfried is survived by his wife of 25 years, the former Elizabeth P. (Weiss); his step-children: Craig (Dawn) Furlong of North Syracuse, William (Michelle) Furlong of Cicero, Cheryl Furlong of Hemet, CA, and Lisa Furlong of North Syracuse; a brother: Gunter (Gerlinde) Inholz of Germany; and nine grandchildren.Friends may call on Friday from 4-7 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. A Prayer Service will begin on Saturday, 10:30 am at the funeral home followed by an 11 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Margaret's Church.
